CASH REWARD, IN YOUR HAND.
By law, the maximum that crimestoppers can pay a tipster is $1,000. However, not all tips will qualify for the maximum reward.
When a tip leads to an arrest/conviction, the crimestoppers designee (law enforcement officer who takes your call) takes the
information to the crimestoppers board of directors who meet once a month. The circumstances of the crime are explained and
a decision is made by the board on how much the reward will be. This is the only way a tipster will be paid.
How the tipster wants to be paid is up to them. From meeting at a designated location chosen by the tipster to a third party
picking up the money. It's always the tipster's decision.
